Our Origins
About Me – Christopher Kilts
I grew up in the tree industry, with family members who have spent their lives working with trees and land management. Being around it from a young age gave me a strong foundation and a deep respect for the work and the environment.
For over a decade, I worked in construction, building skills in precision, problem-solving, and getting jobs done the right way. Throughout that time, I stayed connected to tree work, continuing to gain hands-on experience in the field.
Kilts Stump Grinding was built from that background. I wanted to focus on work that keeps me local, serves my community, and allows me to take pride in every job. Stump grinding is a specialized trade, and I approach it with the same standards I learned in both construction and tree work—show up on time, do clean, efficient work, and leave the property better than I found it.
